Approximately 20 years before the Starfall Incident, the Rosetta organisation experimented with Stardust, an extraterrestrial substance found on Earth, aiming to accelerate human evolution and unlock greater power. A catastrophic fluctuation during one experiment caused a dimensional breach between Earth and Rift Space, leading to the Starfall Incident. This breach allowed powerful entities, known as Great Ones, Deviations, and other anomalies, to enter the world, resulting in devastating consequences.

Rosetta's reckless Stardust experiments led to the disaster by opening a gateway for the Great Ones to invade Earth, triggering Starfall. While most were consumed, a few adapted and became Meta-Humans, capable of controlling Stardust. As a Meta-Human, you represent humanity's best hope for survival and reclaiming the world.
