Deviation O-007 is a disco ball with a diameter of approximately 30 centimeters and a weight of 1.2 kilograms. Its surface is covered in small electroplated facets in a variety of colors. O-007 has a coarse surface, and its facets are not very reflective. However, it will rotate spontaneously and emit a bright light that gives rise to a multitude of luminescent spots that move to its rotation. Upon activation, O-007 will manifest several two-dimensional humanoid silhouettes in its vicinity. These silhouettes elude physical interaction, but will engage in continuous dance-like movements. No meaningful information has been gleaned from the distribution of light spots or the movements of the silhouettes thus far. O-007's primary Deviation Trait is its highly addictive cognitive effect. Human individuals who gaze directly at O-007 or are exposed to its light become highly exhilarated and energetic, and feel a deep sense of happiness and satisfaction. In most cases, affected individuals will dance around O-007 until they collapse from exhaustion. These effects gradually diminish over a period of 24 hours once the affected individual leaves the range of O-007's lights. Cessation of exposure to O-007 results in pronounced withdrawal symptoms. Affected individuals evince depressive emotions, reduced emotional responses, prolonged periods of melancholy or silence, and a lack of interest in and reaction to external stimuli. These may be accompanied by physical symptoms such as sleep disorders, decreased appetite, psychomotor impairment, and autonomic dysfunction of the nervous system. The withdrawal response typically persists for several weeks, but can be effectively alleviated with high doses of antidepressants. When the euphoric effects subside, the onset of negative emotions will cause them to seek further contact with O-007. Prolonged exposure to O-007's influence may result in physiological damage resembling the side effects of , including varying degrees of visual and auditory impairment including potential blindness or deafness in severe cases, and, in rare instances, death due to heart failure. Securement Procedures: DO: Secure O-007 in a Grade IV or higher S-Vessel for valuable objects, with a reflective coating on the inside. The reflective coating should be inspected every 7 days.
